Display driver not supported?
Here is the issue; The system locks up when ever the on-board sound is enabled in cmos W/ drivers installed. The system will either lock up at start-up or when ever a Display Tab 1: The file nvdisp.drv is not digitally signed Music Tab: No problems found. Input Tab: No input devices detected. No problems found.

Point the driver search to that folder and Windows should be able to start using the working driver. Ignore the warning about the driver not being digitally signed. Do the same for video capture, sound capture (for sound out when using tuner), tuner, WDM audio crossbar, and WDM video crossbar. Then reboot.

go into Device Manager and using the update driver dialogue process point it to where the *.inf file is located above. Just ignore the warnings about the driver not being digitally signed etc. and everything should be fine. You'll have access to the scanner through any twain compliant application,

They may have a special program for forcing difficult uninstalls. When you do install make sure that all other programs( on the task bar ) are closed--especially any Anti Virus ones. The complaint by Microsoft re the driver not being digitally signed can usually be ignored, its only a warning Eric Booth.

and why did the previous driver indicate that it was WHQL when it was not a digitally signed driver for windows originally? I am uninstalling and installing the drivers correctly, but I am totally confused as to why this is happening. I Would greatly appreciate somones assistance in this matter. Thks Dennis.

Regardless of what driver I want to installed it tells me the driver is NOT digitally signed. This happens even for drivers that are built in to Microsoft Windows XP (is plug and play monitor). I notice that it happens even when installing critical updates. Any ideas how I can fix this? Thanks.
